More to come later from this fabulous wedding….

More to come later from this fabulous wedding….

Last Saturday, I had the chance to photograph Aubrey and Baye’s BEAUTIFUL wedding in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Silo Events Center. The place is a photographers dream! It was also a fun wedding for me as I have known Aubrey’s mother for a while as she is a great professional photographer herself! It is always a bit strange for me photographing other photographers or their families as I know I am being watched like a hawk! LOL! In any case, it is also a lot of fun as they usually give me the opportunity to be super creative!(This was no exception!)
Stefanie and I were assisted by the wonderful Jeremy Gilliam and we all had a great time and got some awesome shots.(Despite the heat. LOL!)
Thanks again to Aubrey and Baye for the opportunity and to all their friends and family who made us feel so welcome!
Here are some highlights from the day…

Sharon and I had a great time photographing Kelly and Kerri’s Rough Creek Lodge Wedding last week! It was my first time to work there and I can honestly say that it is a WONDERFUL venue to hold a wedding! As far as I am concerned, Brenda Weaver and her staff at Rough Creek Lodge are right up there with some of the best venue coordinators that we have worked with! In fact, I cannot wait to work there again!
This was a fun wedding as both families were so friendly that we felt like part of the group! Both Kelly and Kerri looked absolutely amazing and I think just about everything went as perfectly as it possibly could!
I think that next to me, Kelly has one of the coolest jobs ever! He’s a Professional Bass Fisherman!(And I thought I had a lot of Sponsors!) Here is a cool shot of his for those of you who might have seen him on TV on ESPN, etc…(photo by James Overstreet)

We had the honor of photographing Joanie and Steve’s wonderful wedding at Stonebriar Country Club a couple of weeks ago! Both Joanie and Steve looked great and it was fun hanging out with all of their family and friends.
It was also great to work again with Susan and her staff at Stonebriar as they truly do an exceptional job of making sure everything goes smoothly during the day!
Here are a few of my favorites…

It was also great to see our friend Susie Gray Uphues again!(She does fantastic hair/makeup!)

We had the honor of photographing Tenli and Nick’s Beautiful wedding a couple weeks ago at the Harbor on Possum Kingdom Lake. It was also the first weekend that the Chapel there at Possum Kingdom has been available for weddings and I must say, it was fabulous! We can’t wait to go back! Both Tenli and Nick looked amazing and we had such a great time with both families! It was also our first time to work with the Harbor at Possum Kingdom Lake and I must mention that Brittany and her staff did an awesome job making sure everything went as smoothly as possible!
I have been asked to show some behind the scenes stuff from my weddings and we thought we would have a little fun and shoot some video for everyone in addition to the wonderful images we captured from the day! So Enjoy!! If you guys like this, I promise to do more!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to cover Tracie and Micheal’s beautiful wedding day! It was fun to also have Celina Gomez come out and assist me and Stefanie! The day started off with a couple of Tea Ceremonies and then the wedding and reception both took place at the Dallas Arboretum.
I also love it when my couples give me a lot of time during the day to create some awesome images! We had almost two hours to go play and I think we got some AMAZING stuff! Here are a few highlights…

Sharon and I shot Ken and Gail’s wedding in Fort Worth a couple of weeks ago. It was a very intimate affair and we had simply the best time with them and their friends and family! The ceremony was at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens and the reception was at the Stockman’s Club down in the Stockyards. We really placed an emphasis on getting some really cool shots of Ken and Gail alone as this is what MOST couples will want years from now! I love that they let me play a bit! Here are a few images from the day…
Gail’s gorgeous dress!

We had some time before the ceremony, so I used it to take some fun shots of Gail…

This little guy couldn’t hold back the tears…

I had the chance to head to Wichita Falls a couple of weeks ago to photograph Valerie and Andrew’s GORGEOUS wedding! This post will be LONG as there were soooo many cool details and stories everywhere!! The whole concept, design, and floral for this wedding was done by the WONDERFUL Two Clever Chicks…Cynthia and Lolly!(We instantly fell in love with them and simply cannot wait to work with them again on a wedding!)
Celebrity Chef Tim Love came over from Fort Worth and provided a spectacular meal for everyone as well!! My friend Jason Huang also came along and helped shoot the wedding with me and Stefanie, so without further ado….Here are some of my favorites from the day…
I normally do not post shots from Bridal brunches, etc… but I thought these centerpieces done by Kim Southard of the Swanky Thang were pretty cool!(Besides, you guys know I am a BIG tropical beach fan anyway!)

Now onto the wedding… Andrew getting ready…

It’s now a tradition at each wedding, that the guys have a shot with Tim Love…

This is a pretty cool sequence as the VERY cool pastor gave us permission to shoot from right behind him for part of the ceremony as long as we didn’t move.(I wish more churches would allow this as you can see the really cool shots we can get this way!)
Andrew looks on as Valerie makes her way down the aisle…

Andrew gets a little emotional as well…

The first dance…

I got a cool view of the cake as they were dancing…

Mother/Son…

The rings…

Who knew that Chef Love was also an awesome drummer! “Duck Soup” was the band and they did a GREAT job of keeping the party going all night! Also, me and Chef Love hanging out near the end of the night…

Explanation time….It is another family tradition that a practical joke gets played on the couple at each family wedding and this one was no exception! The wedding party shackled both Valerie and Andrew with metal locks and chains and gave them no keys!

At least they got a saw to work with!

Congratulations again Valerie and Andrew! I should have all of the photos edited and online in another week or so.
